I did a thing for Wrangler x Tongue in Chic in July, due to be published in September.
I hinted about it here and here, so you might’ve figured it out already :)
It’s a simple project, style up a pair of jeans in 5 ways. I knew i was gonna have some fun with this one, ’cause as much as i love playing dress up, on my off-days i am quite the ultimate jeans gal. Took to the AOF studio where, for the first time i was in front of the camera, instead of my comfort zone that is behind.
It was fun! I ended up experimenting with about 7-8 looks altogether ;) For this project i was trying to give you a wider variety, and emphasizing practicality as well. The 5 looks chosen are published on the TiC website, and here’s 2 more that didn’t quite make the cut.
My go-to outfit for slow sundays. I tend to always dress how i feel, so on lazy days where i don’t want too much fuss on my outfit, this is pretty much it! Relax in an oversized slouchy shirt, and top it off with a beanie to go with a messy, unstyled head of hair. I wasn’t kidding you when i told you how lazy i can be with fashion.

We saw plenty of summer music festivals all around the world, and even had our very own Urbanscapes festival mid of this year. Crop tank tops to keep cool, and a big floppy hat to keep the sun away.

Ah, my kimono romper. One of my favourite buys from that Singapore trip. It was one of those magical moments where you look at the pricetag and go “omg why dont you take my firstborn also” but then you try it on and it knocks you off your feet (and that of your shopping partner’s), and you know it was meant to be. Resistance is futile.
Random blurbs (or new word i learnt: blablabloops) of recent fun-times :) There’s always fun-times to be had all around, but these photographs in particular hold a special place in my heart. And that last photo is at Yuna’s show @ Dewan Filharmonik Petronas (DFP), the band was out and just as Yuna was about to strut onstage, the guard guy swatted my hand with a firm “No pictures please”. -_-

What do you call this? This feeling after you’ve seen someone AMAZING live, and you go home & relive those amazing moments on your iTunes. It is intense, but fleeting, only lasts a few days at most.
Whatever *this* is, had me hooked onto my Yuna playlist every single day since the show (Monday-today (Saturday) and still counting), singing to the words with such conviction, discussing about her show and/or her songs in lengths with virtually anybody who would wanna listen, and of course transpired toomanytweetsonthesubject. :p
Super proud of her. I still have all her demo songs from back in the day before she had albums and whatnots and became an international star. Sigh. Happy.

It’s all kind of strange. Just a few days ago i didn’t even know who Yulia was, then she came down to Zouk KL over the weekend and caused a bit of a girlcrushing situation here; and now i find out she’s collab’ing with one of my greatest idols & influencers ever.
Accessories that’s caught my attention over the weekend: Ah Xu’s circle+square rimmed glasses (he told me the brand but i forgot, sorry guys), Hannah’s leather gun holster she uses a handbag, and my hair looking extra flippy and awesome one morning (‘scuse the sleepy face) and yeah in my opinion hair is surely an accessory.
Fun (Useless?) hair fact for you: The last time i visited a hair salon was over a year ago.
I had short/shoulder-length-ish hair which i curled in May 2010, and let it grow out until today. Thankfully the curls loosened over time, otherwise I’d have maggi me hair at the bottom and straight on top. Of course, there were many points in between where I’ve considered cutting it off again, but due to indecisiveness, laziness, and some fair compliments for the current ‘do (which in turn fueled the initial laziness to decide on a new ‘do) I’ve just kinda not dealt with it then. Do do do do~
But an appointment shall be booked soon, at least to layer it if I intend on keeping the length. It’s getting a bit too thick (and heavy) up there.
