Braving Friday the 13th.
In retrospect, this should have been a bad day of some sort.

Dark skies making it look like it’s 7am here. But nono, it was 1pm and i was on my way out to a lunch meeting
My day started off inauspiciously wet and gloomy, as I woke up to the cold, rainy weather that greeted the day.
But I love the rain. I love everything about it, from its sound, its smell, and how the world outside my window seems to quiet down for a moment, ceasing its usual hustle & bustle.
I decided to put on my favourite new skirt – big happy white polkadots on a long flowy full-circle blue skirt from An Old Flame – to counteract the day’s gloominess. Or more like embrace it?
Towards the evening time, I wasn’t feeling so well, so I took the half-day off and went home to rest. This part isn’t so fun, I don’t quite like being sick at all.
But if I didn’t fall mildly sick, I wouldn’t have stayed home this Friday night, and I wouldn’t have found the time to treat myself to a piping hot cup of chamomile tea + honey,
alone with my thoughts, and ponder whether I should watch some indie movies, or blog tonight.
Clearly I chose to blog first, indie movies later :)
So yes, in retrospect, this should have been a bad day of some sort.
But always look on the bright side of life.

Classy outfit. Your gold watch and the hair and the pose all screams classy. I love how the rain makes everything seem quieter, more serene, calmer. Hope you are feeling well soon! xx

Yes, we need to look on the bright side every time, because life’s too short and time will pass you by before you know it. :-)
