So you see, for the past few months I’ve been thinking of taking up sewing.
No real reason, i just want to give it a go.
Oh, and i have tons of clothes that needs shortening and hemming, and if there’s one thing im super lazy to do, it is to go see the damn tailor. Plus, they’re expensive!
And i rocked sewing lessons in Kemahiran Hidup class (Living Skills) back in highschool ;)
and let’s just assume my sheer raw talent back then will carry on til now, hahahahah
So anyway, David asked what i wanted for my birthday this year.
“I really don’t know babe, anything is fine.”
He’d keep on badgering me til i gave him an answer so i said,
“Finefinefine, i wouldn’t mind a sewing machine!” 
“……a sewing machine? I was thinking of getting you a designer handbag or something, but i don’t know which bag you’d like.”
“Oh wow that’s so nice! But really i think i’d rather have that sewing machine.”
I foresee girls everywhere will throw rocks at me for refusing a free designer handbag T_T
BUTBUTBUT. Sewing will be fun! :D
He came over on the night of my birthday with a birthday-wrapped, suspicious-looking, VERY big box. :D :D :D
SHE’S BEAUTIFUL <3 i shall name her Zoey (the sewing machine, duh)
And at my birthday dinner @ La Bodega,
Mama Buri handed me this antique vintage BIG wooden brown box and piped,
“Happy Birthday!”
“Aww, thank you! I love cool vintage boxes!”
(no seriously i really do. i collect em sort of, to put all my jewelry and stuff)
“It’s your very first sewing box! I hope you like it.”
O_O and right there and then, i loved the box even more <3
Then out of nowhere, Jessica on my right poured a plasticbag-full of packets of gizmos and gadgets into my new favourite box and said,
“There. Now you’re all set to start learning how to sew! Happy Birthday!”
I picked up and studies some packets of gizmos.
They were my first set of needles, first thimble, first cloth chalk, first everything.
I swear, at that moment i was so touched i wanted to cry.
“Sorry the pricetags are still on them! But i figured you need to know the prices of your tools…”
“IT’S OK. I LOVE IT, THANK YOU SO MUCH” super happy can die.
One of the best presents (or combination of presents) I’ve ever received.

And btw, sorry i keep forgetting to mention to you all,
IM GOING TO BALI!
Like, NOW.
Ok maybe in a couple hours time but basically I NEED TO GET OUT OF THE HOUSE LIKE NOWNOWNOW.
IM SO EXCITES.
I THINK I BROUGHT TOO MANY BIKINIS.
RUPIAH-RINGGIT FOREX RATES STILL CONFUZE ME.
BUT IT’S ALL GOOD, IM GOING TO BALIIIIII.
And remember last month I decided to get the tattoo I’ve always wanted. :)
I’m still serious about it, not just talk. But then David bursts my bubble and says,
“You can’t get a tattoo now, you’re going to Bali. You’re not supposed to swim or go tanning with a new tattoo, you’ll ruin it.”
NUUUUUUUUUU :( *bubble bursts*
Oh well. After Bali then! <3

Ms Ally agrees that the sewing machine beats designer handbag =P
Btw, I read before some Jap mags on sewing, some with the design template. Very nice. So go hunt for those mags and start your production :)
