On to greener pastures.
In addition to the new camera and new media player i splurged on earlier this year,
another bright and shiny, geeky new gadget I’ve recently acquired is, a new laptop.

The HP Pavillion dm3 Notebook
Now, heaven knows I love my old one, the red Dell,
but it’s the new year, and so on to trying newer things, right? :)
Firstly, this HP one is soooooo purdyyyyy……
I don’t know if my picture does it justice but it looks FANTASTIC in real life: chrome silver finish, thin, (less than 1 inch thin), sleek, and sexy as hell.
And I refuse to take off the plastic sheet that protects its surface sexiness. Dammit let me look for a proper picture online for your visual pleasure.

nah sexxayy ambik engkau
But okay, surely I don’t just go for looks. (pun maybe intended)
What I love most about the laptop is that it’s small, fairly smaller than my old laptop, and it’s LIGHT.
Lord knows I’ve lugged around my old laptop and it’s heavy as hell. Makes me not wanna bring it out at all sometimes, especially during travels
Poor David was in charge of laptop duty during our trip to Miri and Kuching. You shoulda seen his im-not-happy-about-this-but-im-a-gentleman-so-i’ll-carry-it-anyway face.
Compared to my old laptop, the HP dm3 comes with an external CD drive (that black, equally sexy thing in the first picture), which obviously takes away a huge part of the overall weight.
And let’s face it, I hardly use the CD drive anyway ;)

And as if all that’s not great enough, it also comes pre-installed with the coveted Windows 7.
I’ve been using Vista on the old lappy, despite its flaws, I really love the graphics and couldn’t bear to go back to the stable but boring XP.
Windows 7 is fairly similar to Vista, minus the flaws, so I had no troubles adjusting to the new operating system ;)
3 cheers to my 3 new geeky toys!

Oooh tht is pretty and for 2 grand I reckon it’s a STEAL!!!
My bro’s Dell toposmthgorother was abt 3k +. We shan’t speak of my Macbook Pro, I’m a bit of a tech geek to a point, blame it on the designer part of me.
ANYWAYS… yea. Btw, is that an HP portable HD?

choonhong: it’s external, hence portable. see that black squarish thing in the first picture? thats the one
anonymous: Yes, it was a gift from HP too
Lynnett: Hey Lynnett, i remember you :) sorry love, we’re currently working on something NEW, hence AOF is on a bit of a hiatus. Will defo keep you in da loop aight? ;)
Btw this was a gift to me, so im not sure about its price. But i was told 2k+
devil_undercover: Hahaha fair enough, nothing beats the Macbook Pro ;) that’s an external CD drive, this laptop doesnt come with your usual built-in CD drive. Which is great cos the laptop is so much lighter this way!

External cd drive, kida like the Macbook Air.
But anyways that is a pretty machine, nevertheless!
My cousin had a terrible experience with his HP laptop, the motherboard burnt twice, once it was under warranty so they did it for free, but the 2nd time, he was told it was rm1800 to fix, so he got mad n call it quits.
And got himself a Unibody Macbook, the 2008 version, lol.
But HP desktops are really good! My bro was using one few years back, and my dad’s taken it over now, adn REFUSES to use his new Dell, bec he LOVES the desktop, so we sent the gorgeous red Dell to my sister in the US.
So weird la these old ppl. LOL
