Singapore.
“And at the risk of sounding completely lame, I realise I’ve almost never been to Singapore before. Yes, I’m talking about that stone throw away, neighbouring island down south.
Well, once when I was a kid, went to the zoo or sentosa island or something with the family, but I can’t remember it that well. So that doesn’t count.
“
Excerpt taken off a post I wrote last year, dated September 12th.
Today, I am proud to say I have visited Singapore……… twice :) HAHA ok that’s still quite shy.
But hey, both visits were late last year - within only 3 months!
I know of people when planning their holidays, would rather go to faraway places. Rarely do we ever think of our neighbouring countries, taking them for granted.
Given the opportunity to go again, I would take it in a heartbeat :) Singapore really is a rich blend of culture, cuisine, arts, and architecture.
But if I only had one full day to be in Singapore, these would be my top priority places to visit!
When it comes to shopping, everyone thinks of Orchard Road first.

Revisiting Orchard Road’s myriad of quality shopping malls would be tons of fun!
But if I didn’t have such ample time, my priority shopping spot will definitely be Haji Lane.

A somewhat “back alley” street with rows of the cutest quaintest boutiques, similar to that of our very own Telawi Street!
The shopping is fantastic, and there’s always something to look at :)
So hell yea, I’d choose Haji Lane over Orchard Road any time!

Lim@Bunga raided the racks

While i raided the artwork
Everyone knows I’m a sucker for junksales. Heck, i have a whole category/label dedicated especially for my love of junksales.
Whether I’m the customer or the shopkeeper. I love raiding the racks and hunting for bargains; meeting the people, fashionistas who flock to these fashion bazaars galore held here in KL. But you all know that about me by now ;)
So no big surprise when I say I’d really love to attend these similar bazaars in Singapore!
The famous FleaFlyFloFun, being one of them of course ;)

(Oh. Their October session will be on the 24th
OMG FATED LA, I MUST GO)
For the night time, okay this may seem a little predictable, but I’d really love to have dinner at a nice restaurant on Clarke Quay.

Preferably a restaurant with a view. Eating by the riverside with the city lights as a backdrop? Doesn’t get any better than that :)
The two times I’ve been to Singapore last year, we never visited Clarke Quay!
Not the restaurants or the clubs. So for experience sake, of course I’d love to go there :)
And afterwards, mosey on over to Zouk Singapore. Predictable again, I know,
but only because I frequent Zouk KL so often, and I’ve been to ZoukFest (MY) and ZoukOut (SG), it feels almost *wrong* to have never stepped foot into Zouk Singapore!
SO THERE!

But I’ve also really been wanting to visit the new (or not so new?), The Butter Factory.

With crazy kitschy decor and loud pumping music like that, how is this NOT a place to visit? ;)
But it also all depends on my mood for the night. Just in case I’m not quite up for a big night out clubbing and painting the town red,
I’d like to have my mellow chilled out night at Cafe del Mar.

Sigh :)
Damn, fantasizing about my dream Singapore holiday is making me want to run away again. Soon, perhaps? ;)
Would love to go again, though. To indulge in the Uniquely Singapore experience.
