Girly Sister’s Day Out! well, sort of.
I had a Girly Sister’s Day Out with, my sis (obviously)
If you’re following my Twitter you’d know what I’m talking about
(btw im quite surprised at how active i am on that thing, considering how inactive i am on virtually any other online social networking programs like Facebook or MSN. anyway, i digress.)
Now, I’m supposed to talk a wee bit about our silly day!
But you’d also probably know I’m not one to write about “hi we went shopping and bought nice things, we had lunch and it was yummy, insert pictures of same bowl of food from 10 different angles”
So expect also a wee bit of digressing off-topic! Or, ok make that a lot.
I am now convinced that i have found *THE* best road trip song EVAAAR!
Best song to wake up to is still “Make it Mine” by Jason Mraz,
Best song to drive long journeys to, or in a traffic jam, or just for that MAJOR perk-up while driving moodily to work,
has definitely got to be “500 Miles” by The Proclaimers.
If you watch How I Met Your Mother (which is DEFINITELY the best lol comedy series since Friends), you will know exactly what i mean
So SisterDebbie and i hit the road that Day Out driving through the mad jams of KL, when i switched the radio channel to 89.9 (Business FM, i think)
and SUPER RANDOM SUPER HAPPY old skoo’ song “500 Miles” by The Proclaimers started playing

We exchanged a grin of recognition, cue our spirits lifted, followed by intense head-bopping and loud karaoke singing

Unfortunately we had to stop for gas mid-song, but i left the radio on for her in the car, and i could still see Debbie bopping her head wildly to the muted song while i pumped gas from the outside. She looked a tad crazy. Made me not want to bop my head ever again if i looked like that.
(oh, and told you im straying away from mainstream radio stations these days!)
We did a lot of shopping
I’m still undecided as to whether or not it was a successful shopping trip, because my mission today was to find me a pretty dress for the ACCA ball this month. Now that, was an epic fail.
But i did end up buying (and especially, FINALLY FINDING, HALLELUJAH) various items i’ve been searching for every day, for a longggg time now. A specific type of shoe, a specific type of bag, many subsequent shoes, etcetcetc!
Which is really my mission-EVERYDAY anyway, which was a pass with flying colours,
and that trumps mission-today, right? Do you understand what im sayin’? WOOH shopping high sial!!
*Calms ourselves down at Starbucks*

Testing out the HP mini Vivienne Tam

Deep in concentration

Am currently reading a book that, from the outside, looks intimidatingly like a bible
And Dolores Umbridge is a total pig. Grr.
Maybe that’s why i muka masam in the picture
And for our grand finale, we planned to watch 17 Again that night
I mean, what better way to end our happy girly Day Out than with Zac Efron? *ultimate squee*
BUT despite checking the newspapers for cinema screenings earlier that day, turns out GSC had stopped showing that movie T_____T ultimate buzz kill.
A let-down so powerful it threatened to ruin our entire Day Out, because our main plan was really just to watch that hunk of burning love, everything else just revolved around it. Without which, nothing else would matter anymoreeee
But we ended up watching Ice Age 3 which was okay too :) funny shit.
Oh, this one time the weasel cracked a joke about “big smelly crack”
Debbie and i howled with laughter but then stifled it immediately, still shaking with giggly fits for the next 5 minutes, because no one else in the full-seated cinema was laughing at all!
Hello! Did they not understand the joke of the century!
(Oh. And is that considered a spoiler alert? Oops spoiler alert. I’m not sure what the rule is. Oh well. They also said “peaches” a lot. OOPS.)
And that concludes my report of our Day Out
Gotta love being on study holidays and unemployed sometimes.
