Mrazmerizing!
Hee hee, just had to borrow that title off SisterDebbie ’cause it’s just too witty already :p

LOVE. HIM.
Ok for some reason I can’t quite understand, not many people I personally knew went for the concert this time.
Imma huge fan of Jason Mraz, so it’s a no brainer that I JUST HAD TO BE THERE.
But when i asked around (quite enthusiastically too, i might add), everyone responded with very blahh replies, “not interested”, “not a big fan”, “no money”, “err see how lah”. Some didn’t even know he was coming down WTF
and one friend i recently found out simply had NO EXCUSE. He’s a fan of Jason Mraz, he thought of going, HE HAD FREE TICKETSSSS
and yet he still didn’t go. Don’t know why. He himself said, “i don’t know why, i have no excuse la, just didn’t go.” HMPH. Kena sound nicely from me too, but nevermind save that story for another day -_-
But thank god for Rhys though. :)
Believe it or not, he’s an even bigger fan than i am, he practically knew all the songs that would be performed that night, in what arrangement, etc. Crazy. :)
He kept making predictions in the car, “He’s gonna play Bob Marley tonight, Bob Marley i just know it!”

That’s weird, he must be bending down in this picture because he’s really like one full head taller than I am -_-
We stood in the rockzone, the place was packed with fellow Mraz fans, barely able to contain our excitement as we waited for him to appear on stage :p
And in that waiting period, I couldn’t help but notice how EFFING RIDICULOUSLY HOT it was getting
no seriously, almost to the point of barely being able to breathe in all that hot air and humidity.
I don’t remember the Muse concert being this hot, and that was a full-on rock concert yo. Baah.
I tried to ignore the apparent discomfort, and when Mraz finally came out at about 8.30pm, the crowd went wiiiillddddd :D
The first song was “Make it Mine”, i screamed and cheered like some deranged fangirl at the very beginning part where the music starts to ascend and ascend, right until it stops and Jason sings, “Wake up everyone” :D WOOOOOO!
I freaking wake up to this song every morning man, gah im so happy he opened with this song! :D :D :D

“and all the angels they’ll be singing Ah la la la, Ah la la la, I la la la la love youuuu,” :D
Omg the crowd sang this part so loudly with Jason, super super loudly and in unison it was so touching ok :) *wipes tear*
Oh and I swearrrr, if there’s ever one place that will make you feel reallyyyy hopelessly short, it’s gotta be smack dab in the middle of the rockzone/mosh pit of a concert
I could barely see the real Jason up on stage half the time! Kept having to go on tippy toes and craning my neck over the towering sweaty people in front of me, careful not to go too near lest I get soaked in other people’s sweat, eww. Then I’d give up and just watch the big screen
booo. Expensive Youtube wtf booo.
I looked around and noticed all the girls near me gave up real early too – their eyes fixated onto the big screen permanently hahaha.

The 3 saxophonists were wearing our Malaysian football jerseys ok, damn cute right! :D
I’m an expert when it comes to his latest album “We sing, we dance, we steal things”.
But I must admit, I don’t know *all* his songs from his older albums “Waiting for my rocket to come”, and of course “Mr. A-Z”.
And I discovered a song which I didn’t previously know, he performed it so beautifully at the concert and now i REALLY REALLY LOVE. “Life is Wonderful” :) The melody, and especially the lyrics are so amazing.

It’s a well known fact that he’s amazing to watch live. If you thought his recorded stuff was good, wait til you see him perform live!
He does a lot of different versions of his songs, like acoustics and stuff. Cleverly merging his songs with other famous hits, like Wonderwall by Oasis :) oh and of course, Bob Marley ;p
Jason playing around with the crowd after “I’m Yours” :)
and of course that transition into Bob Marley’s “Three Little Birds” sent Rhys into a frenzy hahaha :p

All the cameras coming out, must be during “I’m Yours”!
One of my most memorable moments,
He was playing around with the audience again and taught us some simple dance moves (highfives and low-fives, lol) to go with the chorus of “Dynamo of Volition”, making us all laugh, giggle, cheer, and follow suit :p *high-five low-five*
But not everyone followed, and he teased us,
“What, does it not go with your styleee?
Does it not go with what you’re wearingg?
Does it not suit your imageee?”
“Don’t let your mind, stop you from having a good time.”
And the crowd just went wiiiiilllldddddddddddd including me :p SIGH why is he so witty and so awesome WHY.
Doesn’t matter that later I found out (through my Youtube researching skills) that he uses the same few lines in a lot of his concerts, nope it doesn’t change the fact that he exudes sheer awesomeness
*AWESOME*
Snippet of “Dynamo of Volition”
*high-five high-five* :p
And see, shorty has to look at the big screen half the time, nyeh T_T

PACKED!
By the time he got to the last song “Butterfly”,
I was singing and dancing like crazies, like there’s no tomorrow, wooo! I also noticed that I was moving a lot more than the other people around me, maybe they didn’t know this song wow what a damn shame man, but I DIDN’T CARE, ROAR ROAR ROAR, “Butterfly” has always been one of my most favourite songs by him EVAAARRR
It’s a super sexy song, with the sexiest lyrics, gawddd why is Jason such a lyrical genius. My favourite song shared with Rhys too. :)

Omg words can’t begin to describe how much I enjoyed myself that night :)
Minus the heat wave and sweaty discomforts, and a little bit of height issues, Jason Mraz’ concert was truly memorable.
The lyrical genius, scat king, born to perform, and everything in between. LOVE. HIM.
Before I die I must watch him perform again la. Preferably in a smaller audience too :)

We walked around the stalls outside the Stadium looking for Mraz memorabilia’s, and we each got this :)
Snagged the very last 2 white T-shirts too, how lucky
Only problem is, it’s a ruddy size L -_-”
