Okay, so.

Valentine’s is now over, Chinese New Year’s over, and slightly before that was the Boyfriend’s birthday, some crazy line up of events, Christmas, spending time with the Melbourne peeps, more crazy line up of etc’s, and lastly sprinkle some classes, exams, and An Old Flame to that whole mix up of woohoo’s,

I finally forsee my schedule lightening up for a bit. :)
And with that said, I’ve been dying to blog/rant about this for a couple of weeks now because it’s been eating me up from the inside, groar!

God knows I’m a fan of live music, both international and local acts, and HAVE YOU NOTICED THE MANY MANY AWESOME GIGS HAPPENING IN THE MONTH OF MARCH?

:+:+:+:

But firstly, in case y’all been living under a rock and haven’t heard the news,

Bad shape boyfriend Chris Brown assaulted our dear Rihanna, who was rumoured to have given him herpes o_O and she was left injured and stranded with Chris’ rented Lamborghini as he fled the scene taking the keys with him wtf.

I dunno la, sounds like some Hollywood drama-rama booshit to me but what’s solid truth is the fact that the concert is definitely postponed. Keyword: postponed, not canceled!

So ticket holders, chill out and uhm, pray til further notice. But whatever it is, a replacement date will be announced in two weeks time :)

Sunburst KL 2009

Date: Saturday, 21 March
Venue: Bukit Kiara Equestrian Club
Ticket prices, Pre-Sale: RM203, Door Sale: RM253

But hmm, gotta admit, pretty pricey tickets when the only international artist performing is NERD. Hmm. Sorry la just not my cuppa tea.
And compared to last year’s line up of Incubus, John Legend, etc etc etc GAAH im still kicking myself for missing out on last year’s Sunburst Music Festival
Hearing sisterDebbie gush over Incubus’ live performance of super awesomeness, and then later hearing Boyfriend gush speak enthusiastically but macho-ly about Incubus’ super awesomeness had me feeling a little left out boo.

But I quite like the Asian/local line up for this year’s Sunburst. Definitely wouldn’t mind checking out Nidji and a few more (all for the first time),
Reza Salleh (again), and Twilight Actiongirl (againagain)

Or maybe I’ll save up the money and spend it on……

JASON MRAZ! WOOO!

I’m Yoooours!

And WHOOO doesn’t already know imma huge fan of Jason Mraz?
The dude needs no introduction, neither does his music! That happy-pappy-go-lucky guy, who genuinely seems like he’s got not a care in the world, and expresses it well through his music – infectiously happy music! That makes me wanna sing! and dance! and steal things! HEE!
(ok if you don’t get the joke then go away you are not a true J.Mraz fan -_-)

And I’ve only seen *a few* videos of his live performances, but is it just me or does the dude perform EVEN BETTER live, compared to his already awesome studio-recorded songs?

You could say I’m already getting bored of “I’m Yours” having been overplayed on the radio all the time, but this song performed in Korea was just…… *sigh*. I’m in my cloud of blissfull happies right now give me a moment please.

Jason Mraz Live in KL 2009

Holy poop. IT’S SO FATED LA.
Coldplay just *had* to decide to come visit – wait for it, wait for it – ON MY BIRTHDAY. :D
OH YEH BAYBEH, 23 MARCH IS WHEN COLDPLAY WILL BE SINGING VIVA LA VIDA SONGS TO MEE <3 (and a happy birthday song too, if i wish really really hard)
Only catch is, I gotta run over to Singapore to hear it. Hmm.

Coldplay Live in Singapore 2009

Date: Monday, 23rd March (my birthday WOO!)
Venue: Singapore Indoor Stadium
Ticket prices: SGD$248, SGD$188, SGD$158, SGD$88

Damn la, them Singaporeans really got it good for them. While we Malaysians still wait with bated breath to see if Coldplay will be performing at our Sunburst Music Festival (still to be confirmed), the Singaporeans already got them for a full-on concert hoh.

Should I not hold my breath anymore, and quickly plan to attend their concert in Singapore straight? Besides. BIRTHDAY! FATED. argh. confused.

I’ve been in-love with the lyrical genius that is Jason mraz since I was 19.

LOL. God, I loved that dude since The Remedy- not only is he geeky cute, he is such a monster when it comes to lyrics.

And I almost went for Singfest to see him, and now we get a whole concert, yay!!!!

If you’re still considering Coldplay in Singapore, GO GET YOUR TICKETS NOW. The standing ones are already sold out but you could still get the cheap seated ones.
    Also, I read on

that Coldplay aint playing in Sunburst no more because they’ve gotten all diva and expensive now that they’ve sweeped the Grammys.
I dont know if its true but…
    Goddamnit. It sounds plausible. *grumble*

  5. Cynthia Says:

devil undercover: yea i always liked his stuff in the older albums, but i must say ive come to LOVE his newer stuff, i guess he’s now more comfortable with his style and identity as a performer. that kind of stuff shows :)
BUT i hear rumours they’re not coming for Sunburst no more :( refer to Debbie’s comment lol

revel in me: AIH lucky youuu! :D you going for mraz’ malaysian concert then? ;)

Debbie: FARK. oh damn, well that is to be expected. Btw i dont say this for many bands, but i do think Coldplay has every right to become all diva and expensive.
BUT WHAT IF CHRIS MARTIN RETIRES FROM THE MUSIC SCENE AFTER THIS TOUR TO SPEND TIME WITH GWYNETH AND APPLE AND MOSES wtf gosh

  6. mikkiel Says:

The singapore music scene has really improved a lot with the local bands taking bigger presence. I think there’s a wide selection of stuff at singapore shopping directory that you can check out. Have a great day.
