Forgive me skin, for I have sinned

So I am usually complimented for my good complexion and flawless skin - in person, and also on my blog *shy*
People ask of what skincare products I use, to achieve such flawless-looking skin? *shy shy*

Yes, I blush. But I’ll also politely say, keep them coming please!
To make up for the torment I went through back in high school - what can I say, puberty was harsh on my skin -_-

Heh.

So okay, I eventually grew out of it and my skin got better, and my confidence came back. Plus the occasional confidence booster from a compliment or two

But here’s where I let you in on a little secret of mine.

I don’t always have perfectly flawless skin! *egad!*

(Oh, and yes that’s a scar on my left eyebrow. I don’t remember this, but apparently I rolled down the stairs or something, when I was a kid. Heh. But ok so not the point.)

Once in awhile, stress gets the better of me, the late nights, the time of the month,
or maybe it’s just your friendly neighbourhood zit popping by to say “Hello!” for no good reason

If you lead a hectic lifestyle like mine; and like most people I know who’s always on the go go go, it’s bound to take a toll on your skin.

Actually, scratch that.

If you live in the city, love fried food, stay up late for work/assignments, party most nights and (heaven forbid) sometimes forget to remove your make up,
That’s more than enough to say bye-bye to your healthy complexion, and hellooooo oily skin, pimples and blackheads. It’s so common especially with Asian skin.

And sadly, that’s an alarmingly familiar description of our daily routines - at least for most of us, right?

*upset*

Sure, you can paint your face with silly amounts of make up to conceal your imperfections if you want, but I believe great skin comes from within.

Keeping healthy, managing stress well, and of course, a good skincare regime!

Now, the quest to find the best skincare line is never that easy. Everyone has different skin types and personal favourites.
Some, like me, like to change around and experiment with different brands that gains some good reviews no harm trying if it was recommended by someone else, right?

So I was recently introduced to Garnier PURE’s skincare products, which is said to be suitable for combination to oily skin, prone to acne and blackheads.

Garnier PureA Anti-Inperfection Scrub Wash, and Garnier Pure Self-Heating Sauna Mask (with cucumber extract!)

It’s said to be great for controlling shine, unclogging pores, and drying out imperfections. Hmm. Definitely something I need to shoo away that pesky little bugger of a zit right there.

So, Garnier PURE is my choice of skincare line at the moment

I’ll be trying out these 2 products in the weeks to come. Will keep you updated with its results!

I think its very brave of u to show and admit your flaws here. But its a good thing though…shows that u’re confident and helps those facing the same problem boost their confidence a little too. Reminds us that there’s no such thing as perfection and that we’re human afterall. :)

Anonymous: glad you got the message :) we hate to admit it, but its really almost impossible to have perfect skin in this day and age and living hectic lifestyles. unless you have amazing genes.

Garnier products are good, I’m surprised you didn’t stock up when you were in Melbourne ;)

My skin was the opposite- puberty was VERY kind to me, I had the clearest skin!

Now, god knows why adult acne decides to rear its ugly head in tiny doses.

Yes, it isn’t that bad, but it’s traumatising for someone who never has had a skin problem before.

Then a few months ago, my mum foudn this blood purifer and voila’= my problem is solved.

That thing shockingly cleared up every damn thing, and all it is is a bunch of Indian herbs.

  8. Cynthia Says:

devil_undercover: hahaha aw man :) whether we got acne early or late, they still suck eggs -_-
WHAT BLOOD PURIFIER??? o_o gimme some of that Indian herbs!

  9. devil_undercover Says:

hahaha yea tht blood purifier thing is GOLD. (though it tastes pretty foul).

Some brand called ‘SAFI’, I just got a bottle for a friend to try, and if it works she’s already said she wants some more.

I have no idea if we can get it in Malaysia though.

Herbs are always good. I’d rather use those than chemicals anytime.

  10. Cynthia Says:

devil_undercover: heh, well, if its not available in Msia, then where to get it from? SAFI, hm sounds… dodgy hahaha. But dang, im intrigued.

  11. devil_undercover Says:

    haha, it’s from India.

You them Indians and herbs, and it never goes wrong coz they have such great skin.

    Not fair wei :P

  12. justine Says:

geez louise, like it ain’t totally obvious that a whole group of female bloggers posting garnier this and garnier that aren’t advertorials?

anyway babes, i’m such a sucker. i actually went and bought the two, face scrub and the damn mask.

    it better be good!

  13. Cynthia Says:

devil_undercover: chey! and i always thought them Indians just had better genes ;p

justine: hee hee little commercial breaks for you hey ;p Not bad what, and affordable too! I like the mask, self-heating and quite fun ;p
