Back from Penang!

Damn super tired. We did a lot of visiting of relatives, eating, some shopping, more eating, a little sight-seeing, and i swear we were eating *something* at least every 2 hours. Damn crazy.

And I’m so emo ok, all that of last minute packing had me forgetting to pack in my camera charger, so -_- I’m basically picture-less.
Got quite a few useless pictures of the very beginning of our 3-day holiday, ie. in the car ride up to Penang, sisterDebbie and I pulling silly faces at the camera to pass the time. See, useless.

Such a waste too, what nice pictures we’d have otherwise!

All the pretty little babies. (my new nephews and nieces?! Aunty Thiathia, gasp.)

The night bazaar on Batu Feringgi. Always lively and colourful and I bought some of those strings of colourful pretty ball-y lights, kinda reminds me of Christmas ornaments dunno if you know what I’m talking about, I’ll hang it up in my room and take a picture la whee!

All the amazing food. ‘Nuff said. A Penang trip is not a Penang trip without exploring their glorious food.
As for my favo Assam Laksa, i finally got to compare the 2 most famous Assam Laksa’s on the island; the one on Air Hitam, and of course the Penang Road one.
Air Hitam still pwns la, unanimous decision with me and my whole family yo

The old, pretty architecture. Penang has some seriously interesting history, and you can tell by the time marks left on the walls.

And the general hustle and bustle during the Chinese New Year festivities :)
You should’ve seen the crowded hawker stalls and centres.
The one on Gurney Drive was damn crazy, it was so crowded there were more people than there were available tables and chairs
You had to be tough (and borderline rude) like everyone else and hover closely around the tables whose patrons were *almost* done (but not done yet!), give them subtle but knowing glances “Faster la uncle, we are hungry also”, and then POUNCE onto their chairs the moment their butts leave the surface. Before anybody else does.
Crazy. But real.

And I’m damn super tired so this post will be short-ish, because I also drove almost half the journey back home to KL.

Sigh. I’ve come a long way since the days when I just got my driver’s license, test-drove Shaun and Azan’s car, flew over speed bumps laughing my head off, and scaring the bejeezus outta them poor boys.

ah, good times, good times.

:+:+:

About a year ago, I mentioned very briefly that I was on a Cintan TV commercial.

Not sure if I ended up elaborating about it like I intended to, but the problem was I never saw it!
I had friends, family, even blog readers coming to tell me, “Hey I saw you on TV!” for months when the commercial aired, but I myself never caught it.
Neither did Brian or Suchitra who appeared in the commercial too. Funny how these things can happen, eh.

Until, like, today.

A year after it released and stopped airing – only half an hour ago – I saw it up on Facebook.

Adoi. Major blast from the past.

But ah. Better late than never!

For those who have me on their Facebook can go see la. Otherwise, umm, oh well
