Behind the Blythe Scenes.
(NAH ambik engkau, 2 rather lengthy posts to compensate for my hiatus :p)
Here’s some behind the scenes action of An Old Flame: The Blythe Series
And therefore revealing a little bit of our magic, aye?
Secret #1!

We were so D-I-Y, it’s so crazy ok. Don’t have alot of money to build our own studio, see :)
a few tricks I learnt from dancing and working with Funky Socks in prior years.
That meant *making* our own costumes D-I-Y, be resourceful, and making alot of things work for ourselves!
Ran around all over the place with high school friend / ACCA mate / amateur photographer friend Jonming over the holidays to prepare for the shoot.
Quote unquote him, “I’ve never been so busy and productive during my holidays. And your D-I-Y skills are fantastic wei.”
Meh :) it also helped that Jon used to be a scout back in high school, damn clever at building and creating things la these people, when all they have around them are dirt, trees, and 3 batang mancis.
So our ideas came together quick easily:)

Two ACCA students taking a break from accounting.
:+:
Hair and make up extraordinaire, Berry & Anthony agreed to help with our photoshoot, and even loaned us their smaller studio Glitter’s for us to work in :) amazing help, they’ve been.
Glitter’s has a really interesting concept to it’s shop. It’s a clothings store, bags store, hair & make up salon, photoshoot studio, *and* a nail parlour. All in one!
You can go check it out in Kota Damansara, their shop address and details are provided in their Facebook site.

Anthony prettying-up Francessca.

Face paint & brushes.

Francessca *shy*

Me playing with dollies while waiting my turn for hair & make up!
Eh you can never be too old to play with toys okay.

Going over the concept again with Berry.

All dolled up!
You won’t believe it man. 2 girls’ hair & make up took a whopping 3 hours.
We arrived in the morning and by the time our hair & make up was done, it was time for lunch!
The first few hours we took our own sweet time, the anal perfectionist in me wanting no room for error,
The last few hours we sped up like crazy. Go go go click click click time contraints giler babi
our wigs sudah terpesong also we don’t care, haha.

Cannot terpesong, cannot terpesong!
And we managed to pull it off
and we’re rather happy with the results.

Anthony, moi, Francessca, Berry, Jonming :) heart you all lah!

:)
:+:+:
After seeing all that, Emily and Rose couldn’t wait to get in front of the camera themselves :)
And we quickly built a mini studio for them dolls at Jonming’s house.

Rose: I’m ready for my close up!
vain pot sial, this girl.

Secret #2! Even more D-I-Y!

Wig terpesong, hehe

Look into my eyes some more, I’ll come haunt you tonight.
Favourite picture of the lot, so it’s going up again :)

But I think the most trying part of this project, was definitely all that technical computer work that had Jon and I glued to our laptops for hours on end.
Days and days I spent editing photos, staring at some intense HTML codes, drawing up HTML codes for two full blog sites, writing the description for both sites, fell sick along the way
eek, nobody likes the technical stuff.
But what matters is the end result, and we’re all plenty happy!
Couldn’t have done it without all the help I got. Thanks guys
me love you long time.
