The Blythe Series.
Finally. It is done.
x
So pretty much everyone knows my affinity, my fascination, some say down-right obsession for Fafi dolls and Blythe dolls.
The former, being a no-brainer since I wrote a full Fafi 101 post earlier this year, and I even friggin’ dressed as a Fafinette for Halloween
The latter, Blythe dolls, you might’ve been heavily tipped off by my profile picture in both this current blog and the old blog.
Those mysterious, infamous little goo-goo eyed dolls that you either love or hate.
I’ve been told that some people are deathly afraid of them for they remind them of Chucky’s bride. While others, including me, love them to bits for their pretty big eyes, pouty small lips, long luscious hair (or maybe short blue hair
) and a sense of mystery they exude. Which some people may mistake for eerie creepiness!
For some reason, Blythe dolls are hard to find here in Malaysia. (To me, at least -_-)
Last I heard, there were rumours of this *one* dealer in KL, who used to open a small shop selling these rare collectible dolls, but he closed shop and vanished a few years ago.
Other than that, there’s ebay, I guess.
I don’t know, correct me if I’m wrong!
But I’ve only ever owned one Blythe doll, not even the full-sized 12 inch Blythe doll,
but a Petite Blythe which i-dont-know-why freaked out a lot of my friends, so I named her Emily Rose
3 cheers to my dark humour.

Sammy from the TiC launch & petite little Emily Rose.
:+:
It’s quite rare that I find someone who shares my dark humour and love for Blythe dolls!
But upon a chance meeting, and perhaps it was fate and destiny that brought me to meet the sweet bubbly but highly eccentric collector of the infamous goo-goo eyed dolls, Francessca :) we hit it off the moment we met, and in between the laughter, gossips, a bowl of mushroom soup and pastah at Ms Reads, a crazy idea was born.
That little light bulb clicked on shining brightly in my head, the idea came so quickly!
I swear, it was as if all the planets aligned to tell me the meaning of life, everything makes sense now, huhuhu T__T *tears of joy*
And after slaving away for long long hours for weeks on end, running in between meetings, shopping for necessities and equipments, developing and coordinating photoshoots, and all the while trying to fit in spending time with family and friends during the holidays,
The results are finally here.
And it was worth it :)
Slaving away for a passion project doesn’t quite feel like slavery or work, does it ;)

3 cheers to the new chapter of CSC ;)
