Hmm my blog is all pretty in pink now
Temporary, I didn’t think I’d like pink on my blog but now that it is, I find it really sweet and endearing :) Hmm.
If I don’t miss the simplicity of white, I might consider a blog revamp.

:+:+:

Was invited to a food tasting session @ Italiannies The Gardens along with some fellow bloggers :)
How to say no to free food and a whole lot of sharing n’ caring? ;) AND PASTAH.
Everybody knows I love pasta! ever since I stopped hating cheese and had my very first carbonara….. (not long ago) …. wow. Pasta is love.

Hehe anyway the latest item on the menu is the Italiannies “Bowls of Pasta”, which is basically having 4 different pastas (out of 10 choices) for the price of one!

Genius, I tell you. And an extremely suitable improvement for their current portions of food which is known to be quite large. Italiannies’ pastas are yummy but I could never finish the whole portion T___T *burppp*

Yeehou picked me up and we were on our way to The Gardens, Mid Valley, he turned to me and scrutinized my outfit.

“Why today you look so siu che wan.”

Dunno, today i feel like a girl, lol. Why, do i always dress like a boy to you,

But yes, I looked a little Stepford Wives today, non?

Other conversations in the car included Yeehou amusing me to no end with his expertise in Lolcats talk, LOLLOL.
Funniest shit ever. To me, at least; the girl who’s easily amused and can laugh nonstop at Spongebob reruns.

Oh haiz me wif Yeehou

Oh yes, can I digress off-topic a bit more :)
Today my hair is right-parted! My current haircut is quite cute, my bangs can be pushed left, pushed right, pushed centre, pushed up and pushed down. Seriously.
Hee :) Tremendous fun! Can wake up everyday and have different hairstyles *syok sendiri*

Pre-makan camwhore sesh!

Ringo, Cindy, moi

Hubby & Iza :)

Simon & Sheila

Before we knew it, the food finally arrived NYUM.

Appetizer: Californian Shrimp Salad

Salad with shrimps, mangoes, oranges, tomatoes, cream cheese; something light and sweet to whet your appetite. Had to maintain myself like crazy not to eat so much of it, lest I get too full for the main course! (PASTAH.)

Appetizer: Quattro Platter

Deep fried risotto balls, calamari, stuffed mushrooms and zucchini fritte. Easy to eat and fun to share all around :)

Calamari I love! Hope Azan isn’t reading this, because he calls me “Sotong” as my nickname (inside joke sigh) and every time he catches me eating my “cousins” he will laugh non stop cheese pie sial.

Yeehou going crazy for that zucchini fritte over on the far left. Or onions as he calls ‘em :)

Main course: Lamb Shank

Okay, this one truly was fantastic. Yeehou and Simon had tried this before and was raving about it even before the lamb shank arrived, and they were true to their word.
Braised lamb shank with a medley of herbs, red peppers, tomatoes, and mashed potatoes. Yumm. And couldn’t maintain with this one so I whack kao kao *burppp*

And finally, the pastahs arrived! (a little bit full by now but nevermind still can whack )

Clockwise: Classic carbonara, Chilli shrimp, Angel hair pomodoro, Chicken lasagna

I especially loved their classic carbonara rich, creamy and full of yumyums sighh, I should die if I didn’t stop hating cheese not too long ago

The chilli shrimp on the right is a dry-base pasta, with shrimps, dried chillies, and garlic over the linguine.

The angel hair pasta was great too, with a tomato-base sauce, chopped red tomatoes and garlic.

I didn’t get to try the chicken lasagna :( was too full, or was it gone by the time I wanted it? :/
Hehe, layers of lasagna pasta, marinara sauce with melted cheese :)

L-R: Clam & beef bacon, Salmon & lemon aioli

I’m a seafood shellfish lover, so the clam & beef bacon one was great for me too!
Beef bacon strips with fresh clams, onions and clam broth. *salivates*

The salmon & lemon aioli was rather interesting. It had lemon aioli mayonnaise to go with the baked salmon and baby spinach. And so cute the shell pasta! :)

Cindy & Ringo, fellow pasta people ;)

Dessert: Chocolate & Hazelnut Cake

Very rich and moist. But we couldn’t finish it because we were stuffed silly by then *content*

YH with Jocelyn of Italiannies :)

with Iza.
She is so pretty okay, chatting with her I just stared and stared into those big brown eyes @___@ *shy* Hope she didn’t notice too much

Mucking around with the camera :)

Thank you, Italiannies!

    hi cynthia,

seems like you all had a sumptuous meal at Italliannies.
However, is the 29.90 of the 4 bowls of pasta really worth it?

  10. Simon Seow Says:

    You’re not too bad yourself.
