Stepping into a new unfamiliar world soon, or now. Scares the bejeezus out of me, and I fought tooth and nail to maintain what I’ve always known.

But after struggling so much and end up hurting more, I wonder if it’s better to simply accept it?

In a way, I know I chose this path into the dark unknown. Knowing very well I could have stepped out a million times and stuck with the comfort of familiarity, and stayed in my world where rainbows really only have 7 colours.

But here I am, still sauntering down The road not taken.

Because, while the view ahead of me is dark mysterious and breathlessly frightening,
I also see a wide array of colours more radiant, more whimsical than I’ve ever known. More curious than ever.

I turn around and gaze at the world behind me. Smile back at the people smiling at me and with a heavy heart, I bid them farewell.
I look straight ahead, and stare darkness in the eye. All the while thinking of the curious colours.

But once in awhile I’ll need you to squeeze my hand a little, and remind me that everything is gonna be alright.

Do you think its scary because you loved your old life too much? Cos things were comfortable i mean.. at least to a point :p

I guess if you had the ability to make life happen and happy for yourself that last phase, you’ll be able to do just fine for this new one. Look at it as (FINALLY!) a new challenge thats coming your way, that you know you can overcome. You’re able, dont worry. Youve got so many people backing you up. All the best Cyn :)

Interestingly written. Very whimsical to say the least.

A lot of us wish we even have a new world to venture into, the world of 24 colored rainbows. Go for it, Cynthia. Even if you fail, you know that’s one world/opportunity you’ve tried, and move on with no regrets.

estherlauderlyn & anonymous: i should think almost everyone loves their old/current life too much, familiarity is after all comfort. To the point where if we leave that world, who's to say there's even a turning back?
But i get what you mean by (FINALLY) a new exciting challenge :) i guess we all come to this point in our lives, found stuck at the divider between 2 roads. Thanks for your insight though :)
