‘Cause you can make or break my day..
For some reason I felt super shy posting up that dance video.
Because I see alot of flaws and I know I can do better, and I am possibly my own worst critic T__T
but I had ZERO time that particular week, juggling classes, deadlines, the photoshoot, stressful late nights studying for exams and some other nonsense
and damn champion ok, the only time I had to record the dance was 11pm late one night, I drove to the studio hall with my camerawoman sisterDebbie, super rushing and then I found out my camera was low on battery -____- Super ultimate champion la. That meant I only had a couple of tries before the camera goes kaput.
And I thought about what song to do on that day itself, so I worked out the choreography that night at the studio itself, and, yeah. I am not satisfied.
I kept complaining to Pinky of Nuffnang when I sent her the video. “Can i redo the entire thing. Please. Please. I don’t know when i can redo it but, Please. Please.”
But cannot, we were working with a tight deadline and the client was happy with my video. So okay fine. Let it go Thia, just let it go.

Okay time for more backlogged events I’ve been meaning to blog about.
All of last week was the No Black Tie Music Showcase 3, and i *finally* got to check out Rendra perform again. It’s been too long! More than a year dah, since he flew away to the UK and back.
He opened on Thursday night, and i was lucky because Reza Salleh, Isaac Entry, and Shahrider & Nizam P were performing that night as well. All seriously amazing stuff!
I admit, I was really looking forward to hearing Rendra’s old songs that I’m familiar with, but he played his new stuff that night which was great as well
but no surprise there la right
Went with Shannon and Jonathan-the-accoustics-virgin.
Jon’s never watched a live accoustic show before, can you believe it
I was shaking with excitement, like a proud momma watching her baby take his first step wtf
(although it was my first time meeting Jon that night wtf)
“So this is your first time? Seriously. You’ve never watched our local Malaysian acts before?”
“Nope.”
“Ohmaigod. You. Will. LOVE. IT.”
*beams like a proud momma*
And true enough, by the end of the night I think Jon was more pleased with the show than even I was
and that’s really saying something.
Sigh, they all grow up so fast :) *wipes tear*
And it’s always good to know I’ve opened someone’s eyes to the musical talents of our own local industry. :)
Shahrider playing 2nd guitar to Reza
It’s amazing ok, the two of them have never rehearsed together before, super last minute impromptu plan for Shah to just get on stage and play along to Reza’s songs.
God knows how he does it la, I’m no musician so I can’t analyse these things, I just sit back in amazement with jaws dropped.
Snippet of song no. 2
Anyone got any idea what’s the title of this song?
Sorry Rendra no picture of you, was too mesmerized by your voice

*sheepish grin*
Promise I’ll take lots of pictures at your gig @ Groove Junction on the 29th mmkay?

Wanna know something damn shy.
Everyone knows the famous Reza Salleh, and his amazing music. He’s been in the scene for some time now, and ok I confess, tonight was my first time ever hearing his music.
I know righttt, where have I been wtf. *hides under my rock*
I told this to Rendra after the show and he said, quote unquote, “
I feel like banging your head against the wall now.”
sorry la! Ishh, so much anger.
But now I’m a full-fledged fan. I will not elaborate further on that, but yeah.
Gawd, why don’t I watch these shows more often. I thoroughly enjoy myself every single time.
Currently listening to: Rendra Zawawi – Mrs. Hypocrite

Eh, Reza is the organizer for Moonshine and he often plays for it… can’t be that likely that you hadn’t caught him before!
Funny how I got to your blog today by Googling Sherry – Sighyoung (from the Voices From Next Door CD) and he changed his stage name to Shahrider. You’re a big blogger now! *sniff* *pats your fringe* I remember when you had like, no comments on Xanga, other than my occasional comment!
