“B, do you want anything from Melbourne?”
We just got out of an argument, well, barely. He stared at his plate of pizza, while I poked around at my plate of vongole at dinner. The clams were delicious, but I wasn’t feeling particularly hungry. Things were obviously still pretty tense between us.
“Brian, did you hear me.”
“I did.” he finally replied. “I’m just thinking. If you asked me this 2 years ago, I would have given you a full list of thing to buy. The latest shoes, the latest clothes, the latest…. stuff. But right now, do you know what I really want?”
I sipped at my glass of water, patiently waiting for his answer.
“I want to see you, immediately, when you get back. I’ll come pick you up at the airport if I have to. I want to hear everything. Everything you experienced, everything you saw, ate, felt, everything.”
I smiled at him, with a sort of what-are-you-yakking-about raised eyebrow smile.
“Better yet, I want you to keep a diary, or a journal.”
“B, I’ll be blogging in Melbourne.”
“I know, but I’m sure there are things you filter through before you blog, right?”
(He’s right.)
“I want you to write everything in that journal. So often I ask a friend how was his trip, and his reply would be It’s okay, It’s nice. I don’t want that, I really want to know all the details, and I don’t want you to forget them either. What better way than to jot them down every single day, and share it with me.”
At this point, I was really puzzled by his answer, but also very intruiged.
This could be a lot of fun :) god knows I love to write rubbish, it’s whether I have the time to.
“Alright….. alright B, I’ll write you a journal.”
“Great.” He sank back into his chair, smiling at me. “Now that’s, what I really want from you, from Melbourne.”
“I hope I have the time to write it, and maintain a blog, and actually go out and have fun.”
“That’s okay, but I’ll be expecting at least 21 entries.”
For my 3 weeks stay there, yikes.
But you gotta hand it to the guy, that was a pretty good ice-breaker. :)

Hello from Melbourne
It’s been a long tiring day travelling and my god customs at the Australian airport is strict.
I just had *the* best shower I’ve ever had in my life (period.) because, hey whadaya know, Melbourne in winter in damn friggin’ cold I’m developing a friggin’ rash on my arms for heaven sake ’cause it’s so friggin’ cold,
and a hot shower during winter is sigh, absolutely indescribable. :) Now all I need is some hot cocoa.
Will blog more soon, after a good night’s rest!
:+:+:
And continuing from that conversation with the Boyfriend,
by the way, ok I know I’m like super late and/or outdated, but P.S. I Love You the movie is amazing :) ok not entirely my fault, the movie never screened in Malaysia.
B and I watched it after dinner, (finally too, we planned for a P.S. I Love You movie night like forever ago, ok just one month ago) and hands down, my favourite super-sappy movie of all time.
Although, B groaned at the beginning, “Omg I can’t believe I’m watching this. Don’t tell the boys, or I’ll be stripped of my manhood” and oops, here I am blogging for the world to see
oh shuttup lah, I know he enjoyed it.
All throughout the movie I was tearing at Holly’s anguish; laughing out loud at Gerry’s goofy antics (and cute Irish accent!), delighted when I saw whatshisface (Billy) Denny Duquette from Grey’s Anatomy!
Even more so when he walked out of the shower without a towel
ok, not so much to Brian’s delight.
But all in all, I think I cried buckets during the movie.
Sigh imma sucker for sappy romance, but really, best movie ever.
