Grunt.
I finally reformatted my computer after more than a year of not doing so,
maybe close to 2 years now, wayyy before I even moved house.
And the accumulation of internet viruses, worms, trojans and godknowswhatelse has really fcuked up my computer nicely 
(I reckon somebody in this household has been visiting not-nice websites hence all the nonsense viruses attacking the PC, i don’t care who i don’t judge why, just don’t screw up the PC!)
Not only was it running slow as hell, it kept hang-kei-ing halfway at random occasions and up till recently, sometimes the bloody thing wouldn’t even start 
blasphemy I tell you!
Frighten me silly, worrying about my precious unbacked-up files, music and photos in there 
Besides that, I’m pretty anal when it comes to organizing my files and folders in this PC,
ie. I create separate folders for different users to store all their stuff,
ie. the “CYNTHIA IS AWESOME” folder, the “DEBBIE WEBBIE” folder, “VINCENT’S STUFF”, “MUMMY’S COOKING RECIPES”, “PAPA’S CHINESE SONGS” so on and so forth.
All files must be stored in their respective folders otherwise I get quite annoyed. *shy*
I even created a buffer “WHAT IS ALL THIS NONSENSE” folder because over the years stray files will start appearing and mess up the desktop, but noone will own up to it! 
So I finally reformatted the computer and everything is clean, organized, brand new and running swiftly now, 
except now I don’t have any sound.
The speakers ain’t working I donch know whyyy, some error pop-up will appear whenever I play a song, and when I click OK no sound will come out from the speakers omg I don’t like extended silence.
Andandand I don’t have Adobe Photoshop anymore because, either the PC is permanently screwed the autorun won’t effing load, or my brother’s installation CD is old and rosak the autorun won’t effing load, ROARRR either way I’m so annoyed.
I’m this close to giving up.
I’m going to the PC fair tomorrow anyway to buy a new laptop YAYY and I will love and care for it and no virus is going anywhere near my new baby mmkay and it better have sound.
And is it just me or is this semester passing by way too quickly?
Before I know it my Mock Exams are already near. Followed by finals right around the corner.
No seriously, where the hell did the other half of my semester go!?
grunt.

when you reformat your pc, you need to reinstall back your soundcard driver and etc ! =)

anonymous: before he went back to Malacca, my brother taught me how to reformat the PC and gave me some program CDs to install (including something for the sound, SoundBlasters or smthin) i did everything he said but still no sound :( *scratch head*. Nevermind i’ll wait for him to come home soon and to my rescue :) Now im just depending on my trusty ipod for sweet sweet music.

seraphangel: true, but im so used to Microsoft and slightly dependent on the shortcut keys, that i cant switch to Mac. and not nice la, using Microsoft on a Mac :)
