Green with Prosperity.
The Ong family finally had it some nights ago
because we missed our traditional steamboat reunion dinner on CNY eve
Mom went and bought the ingredients on the 3rd day when all the shops opened, maybe because I complained so much, meehee.
Ah, the Chinese New Year.
It’s that time of the year again, where every night there’s someone’s open house to attend,
may it be a close friend’s, or a mere acquaintance whose house you’ll never step into other than during the festivities of CNY,
So much food!
So much red!
New year cookies!
and Mandarin oranges!
(I’m loading up on mandarin oranges because the Vit C is supposed to boost my lousy immune system, hm hm.)
And at every open house, there’ll be dinner, beer, angpows
and loads of gambling.
Now, I’ve never been too lucky when it comes to CNY gambling,
although ironically my surname is Ong (associated with “Good Luck”)
But I always win a bit, lose a bit, or breakeven.
But I still participate nevertheless
Gambling sesh comes once a year only what.
Win or lose, you’ll have a new set of memories of close friends huddled around a table trying to win each other’s money. Quite entertaining what.

Kelvin & Loong winning our money.
@ yinho’s.

Blackjack table. Kelvin’s obviously still winning our money.

Hullo ladies!
Mingshen Sarah me
I never thought I’d say this, but I think green is my favourite color now.
Dunno, I just seem very inclined towards the color lately, hmn.
I see green I think of whimsical creatures – Like leprechauns!
And elves!
Peterpan and Tinkerbell!
:D
I wore a green top one day in Bangkok, bought loads of green stuff on that day just ’cause they match what I was wearing, heh :)

Rather obscenely, but hilarious

Rica, Sarah, Thiathia, Cyndi, Grace & Michelle.
My favourite accessory to date.
My Supermario magic mushroom! :D
It’s supposed to bring me good luck, wealth and fortune. Says the leprechaun that sold the mushroom to me at a lapsap junksale.
No lah i made that up. But it could be lucky, right?
*hopeful face*
Pfft, magic mushroom. Kevin and Alda will have a field day with this.
